When ReeRee Rockette says she is going to do something you know it is going to be amazing. So when she announced that she was setting up a blogger event we definitely knew we wanted to be involved. Luckily it wasn’t hard to come up with an idea as ReeRee is the brains behind Rockalily and  lover of the red lipstick. A perfect match!

ReeRee wanted to create lots of interesting activities for the invited bloggers and we were part of a programme that involved a pop up photo booth (courtesy of Tigz Rice Studios), hair and make up (from the lovely and incredibly brilliant Honey Bare) and amazing clothes (from Betty Blue’s Loungerie) to name only a few. Guests were also treated to performances by Rubyyy Jones and Banbury Cross – which sadly we had to miss.

Rockalily has a range of 4 core lipsticks plus a Limited Collection – one of which (the ZOMG! in collaboration with The London Lipgloss) was being debuted at the event. We were on hand to host a testing table for the eager bloggers and guide them through the colours on offer. It is always fun to help someone realise that they can wear red lipstick and show them the shades that suit them best.

We also provided a small selection of beauty books from our library for guests to browse through as well as some antique lipsticks – which proved to be a real talking point.

It is fascinating to look at how lipstick casings have changed through time and to inspect some of the shades from the past.

We were very proud to be involved in this event – one which celebrated the diverse interests and talents – of many wonderful bloggers and small businesses. A big thanks to ReeRee for organising such a great night and asking us to be involved.

More photos of the night are on our facebook page
